Workforce Development
The mission of the South Alabama Regional Workforce Development Alliance is to develop strategic partnerships which attract, educate and train students and workers to better meet employer needs and to foster economic growth in a global marketplace. The Chamber collaborated with business and community leaders, under the guidance of Dr. Tim Alford, to design a region wide strategic plan for workforce development. After working for over a year, the regional strategic plan was presented to the community in December 2007, and work is underway to staff the South Alabama Regional Workforce Development Alliance.
