With so much to celebrate, the area’s social calendar is packed. Honoring our diversity is not just a pastime; it’s a way of life! Here are just a few of the areas many celebrations:
Ask any Mobilian and they will tell you Mobile is the birthplace of Mardi Gras in the New World. The three-week celebration is the city’s biggest event and features parades, music and other revelry. Visitors from around the world come to join in the family fun.
BayFest, www.bayfest.com an annual outdoor music festival, attracts more than 200,000 music lovers to Downtown Mobile each October to enjoy a lively mix of jazz, rock, country music and other musical styles.
